Sunset Cliffs is one of my favorite spots for an elopement ceremony in Southern California. The towering cliffs against the endless Pacific Ocean create the perfect dramatic scenery for a romantic occasion.
Jo and Valeria tied the knot at Sunset Cliffs in San Diego on a beautiful sunny day in January. The weather could not have been more perfect with warm but mild temperatures and not a single cloud in the sky. Jo and Valeria are local to San Diego and wanted an intimate elopement experience that captured their love of the ocean and each other. The day started with vows and photos at Sunset Cliffs but did not end there. They wanted to really celebrate their commitment to each other and turn their elopement into an experience that they’ll remember forever.
After exchanging vows these two continued their day by exploring the surrounding neighborhood with their dog, and then heading to the beach for a relaxing afternoon and evening where they enjoyed a picnic, more time with their dog, a gorgeous sunset over the ocean, and some time splashing around in the waves in their wedding gowns! Jo and Valeria are a laid back couple who really wanted their day to feel like a relaxing Saturday afternoon where they could forget about any responsibilities, enjoy each other’s company, and be near the water.
